Tunisia became the second African team to book their place in the finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup following their 1-0 win away at Equatorial Guinea in Group H of the qualifiers on Monday, Afrosport reports.
Mohamed Ben Romdhane scored the crucial goal deep in added time to open a 10 point lead over Namibia with two games left to play.
The Carthage Eagles join Morocco who were the first team to qualify from Africa after their 5-0 whooping of 10-man Niger last week.

The Atlas Lions maintained their 100% record in Group E after edging past Zambia 2-0 in Ndola on Monday, courtesy of goals from Youssef En-Nesyri and Hamza Igamane.
The other Group H game saw Malawi and Liberia play out a 2-2 draw in Lilongwe while in Group A, Guinea-Bissau defeated Djibouti 2-0, likewise Libya against Eswatini by the same scoreline.
Group G action saw Algeria draw 0-0 with Guinea away from home while Mozambique and Uganda recorded 2-0 wins over Botswana and Somalia respectively.
In Group I, Ghana remained three points clear at the top as Alexander Djiku’s 49th minute goal handed them a 1-0 win over Mali while Madagascar got the better of Chad with a 3-1 win in Casablanca.
