Eighteen players have arrived at the Super Eagles training camp in Polokwane ahead of their crucial 2026 World Cup qualifier against Lesotho, Afrosport reports.
Head coach Eric Chelle and his backroom staff landed in South Africa on Monday before the players’ arrival.
Familiar faces such as captain William Troost-Ekong, Stanley Nwabali, Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Wilfred Ndidi, Moses Simon, Calvin Bassey, Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze, Frank Onyeka, and Tolu Arokodare are already in camp.
The team held their first training session on Tuesday evening, while awaiting the arrival of four more players from the initial 23-man squad. Werder Bremen defender Felix Agu has withdrawn through injury, and a replacement has yet to be named.

The Super Eagles take on the Crocodiles of Lesotho in a must-win clash at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Friday, 10 October, before returning to Uyo to face Benin Republic next Tuesday.
