The Flamingos were a class apart at the Abuja National Stadium on Saturday evening as they dispatched Burkina Faso 6-0 and 7-1 on aggregate to move into the final round of the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.
The first leg ended 1-1 in Bamako but the Burkinabe ladies were no match for the Flamingos who went ahead in the 11th minute through Chidi Harmony before Peace Effiong doubled it 23 minutes later.
The scoreline remained 2-0 and 3-1 on aggregate until the final 16 minuses of the game when Harmony completed her hat-trick and Effiong her brace while Ramota Kareem had a sole effort.

The Flamingos will face the winner of the third round qualifier between Senegal and Liberia in the final round for a place in the World Cup stage in the Dominican Republic.
The Senegalese lead the tie 3-1 with the return leg set to hold in Monrovia on Sunday.
