Nigerian Afrobeats crooner Rema graced the stage of the biggest football award ceremony, the Ballon d’Or, at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, France, on Monday night.
The 23-year-old Edo native performed his hit song ‘Calm Down’ at the 67th edition of the award ceremony just after the best men’s club award was handed to Manchester City for the second year in a row.

Rema’s Calm Down was widely received by the audience of stars, which included some of the biggest names in the round-robin game like Lionel Messi, David Beckham, Kylian Mbappe, and many more.
Rema, who recently won the MTV Video Music Awards for Best Afrobeats song with the remix of Calm Down with American singer Selena Gomez, joins the list of Nigerian artistes to grace footballing events in the last year following Davido and Burna Boy’s performances at the FIFA World Cup and UEFA Champions League, respectively.
