The Senegal U-20 women’s national team have booked their place in the semi-finals of the 2023 Africa Games after recording a 4-0 win over Morocco in their final Group B game at Nduom Stadium in Elmina on Thursday night.
Both the Atlas Lionesses and Teranga Lionesses lost to the Falconets of Nigeria who made it through to the semi-finals as a result.
This meant the winner of Thursday’s result would join the Falconets in the last four.
Senegal raced nto an early 2-0 lead thanks to Khadija Badio and Rokhyatou Kande in the sixth and 17th minute before Abir Choab’s own goal and Mendy completed he scoring in the 65th and 87th minute respectively.
The group stage will conclude on Friday when already-qualified Ghana take on Uganda, who need only a draw to book their last four spot, while Ethiopia take on Tanzania.
