Wolverhampton Wanderers have completed the signing of Colombia international Jhon Arias from Fluminense for an initial £15 million, Afrosport reports.
The 27-year-old joins on a four-year deal running until 2029, with the option for an extra year. The total package could rise by another £4m in add-ons if Wolves qualify for Europe.
Arias, dubbed “Colombian Pele” has been handed the number 10 shirt at Molineux, most recently worn by Matheus Cunha before his move to Manchester United. He becomes the second summer signing for Vítor Pereira’s side, following the arrival of Fer Lopez from Celta Vigo.

The winger arrives with plenty of pedigree, having notched 47 goals and 55 assists in 230 games for Fluminense since joining from Santa Fe in 2021. He helped the Brazilian side lift three trophies, including the 2023 Copa Libertadores.
Arias impressed on the world stage at this year’s Club World Cup in the United States, starring in Fluminense’s run to the semi-finals. He picked up three man-of-the-match awards and was named in the tournament’s best XI, despite their exit to eventual winners Chelsea.
On the international stage, Arias made his debut for Colombia in June 2022 and has since scored three goals in 31 appearances. At Wolves, he’ll link up with a few familiar faces, including former Fluminense teammate Andre and fellow Colombian Yerson Mosquera.
Wolves will begin their 2025-26 Premier League campaign at home against Manchester City on Saturday, 16 August.
