Shakirat Moshood scored four goals as Nigeria’s Under-17 girls, Flamingos on Thursday anhilated Niger Republic 9-0 in the second match of this year’s WAFU U-17 Girls’ Cup in Ghana, Afrosport reports.
The Flamingos opened the scoring after five minutes through Aishat Animashaun, following an in-swinger by Mary Mamudu.
Shakirat Moshood, who starred at the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic then increased the tally in the 17th minute with a 35-yard screamer.
She scored again in the 33rd minute, while Janet Akekoromowei, who would go on to score a hat-trick, netted the fourth, fifth and sixth goals.
Moshood added two more, making her the highest scorer on the night with four goals, while Peace Effiong added the icing on the cake with 11 minutes left on the clock with a ferocious attempt from outside the box.
The Flamingos will next face Ivory Coast on Monday.
