South Africa head coach Desiree Ellis on Monday unveiled her final 26-player squad ahead of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), Afrosport reports.
With the squad boasting a blend of domestic and international experience, Andile Damani comes in as goalkeeper while Lebohang Ramalepe and Karabo Dhalamini sit in defence.
Former African Women’s Footballer of the Year Thembi Kgatlana, however, doesn’t make the list citing personal reasons for her withdrawal, while Refiloe Jane, Amogelang Motau and Jermaine Seoposenwe all complete the list.
