Vitor Pereira agrees deal to become new Wolves head coach

Wolverhampton Wanderers have agreed a deal for Vitor Pereira to become their new head coach following the exit of Gary O’Neil, Afrosport reports.

O’Neil departed on Sunday after the 2-1 defeat to Ipswich Town at Molineux on Saturday, which left them in 19th place on the Premier League table, five points shy of safety.

Pereira is currently the manager of Saudi Pro League club Al Shabab but according to Sky Sports, compensation just over £800,000 has been agreed along with personal terms for a contract that will run until June 2026.

The deal is expected to be confirmed and announced by Wolves in the next 24 hours.

Vitor Pereira has previously managed clubs such as FC Porto, Olympiacos, Shanghai SIPG, Fenerbahce, Corinthians, and Flamengo among others winning league titles with the first three aforementioned sides.
