Leicester City manager Ruud Van Nistelrooy says he is impressed with Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi following his top-class performance in their 3-1 victory against West Ham United on Tuesday, Afrosport reports.
Ndidi was everywhere during the match at the King Power Stadium, completing the most tackles (5) in a performance that caught the new boss’ eyes.
Van Nistelrooy, who won his first game as the Foxes’ manager, heaped praise on the Nigeria international for his outstanding defensive duties.
“[Boubakary] Soumare and Ndidi had an unbelievable game, covering a lot of distance, winning a lot of balls in duels and second balls and also on the ball,” Van Nistelrooy said.
“We realised how good the Premier League is and the performances we have to put in to get results.”

The former Netherlands international is also hoping his players can develop some sort of ‘togetherness’ and understanding so as to set them on the right path.
“The foundation of that togetherness and hunger to achieve something was shown today,” Van Nistelrooy added.
“That reflected in the stands and only gives the players more spirit. That was the biggest win from today. It’s something that is vital. That confidence is so important in football.”
Leicester are currently 16th in the Premier League standings with 13 points from 14 matches after amassing three wins, four draws, and seven defeats.
The Foxes will be at home for the second consecutive time, hosting fifth-placed Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday, 8 December.
