Senegal forward Abdallah Sima scored twice as debutants Brest maintained their perfect Champions League start by thrashing Salzburg 4-0 on Tuesday , Afrosport reports.
The French side kicked off their first-ever European campaign with a 2-1 home win over Sturm Graz two weeks ago, and they consolidated on that victory with another clinical performance in Salzburg.
Brest went ahead in the 24th minute through a terrific counter-attacking display when 23-year-old Sima held off his marker to put his finish beyond the goalkeeper.
The French club doubled their lead in the 66th minute with what was their second shot on target when Mahdi Camara fired into the far corner.
Sima completed his brace four minutes later, poking in the third goal of the night after Salzburg goalkeeper Janis Blaswich fumbled Hugo Magnetti’s effort.

Substitute Mathias Pereira rounded off the scoring with a curling strike with 15 minutes left on the clock.
Salzburg remain winless in the expanded Champions League after losing 3-0 to Sparta Prague in their opener.
