Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has called Vitinha an “unbelievable player” after starring in the 7-2 win over Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, Afrosport reports.
The Portuguese midfielder assisted compatriot Nuno Mendes for the fifth goal before netting the seventh goal in sublime fashion in the 90th minute of the game, which saw both teams finish with 10 men.
It took his tally to two goals and four assists in 10 competitive games this season which Enrique says is a testament of not only his defensive abilities but his offensive attributes as well.
“What can I say about Vitinha? But it’s not just Vitinha, now is not the time to talk about just one player, but still Vitinha is unbelievable,” the Spaniard said.
“He controls the match with the ball, and that’s the most important phase of the match for us, he is always on top of what we need to do. He has both offensive and defensive quality, he has personality, he is an unbelievable player.”
