Ademola Lookman provided an assist as Atletico Madrid defeated Raphael Onyedika’s Club Brugge 4-1 and 7-4 on aggregate to move into the UEFA Champions League round of 16, Afrosport reports.
Both sides played out an entertaining 3-3 draw in the first leg of the knockout playoffs in Belgium last week, Lookman and Onyedika finding the back of the net.
The Nigerian duo were not in the starting XI on Tuesday at the Metropolitano, with Lookman starting from the bench while Onyedika was suspended due to accumulation of yellow cards.
Norway foward Alexander Sorloth netted a hat-trick, Lookman assisting him for the third goal in the 76th minute while Johnny Cardoso scored the other and Joel Ordonez scored for Brugge.
In other results on Tuesday, Bodo/Glimt stunned Inter Milan 2-1 at the San Siro to win the tie 5-2 on aggregate while Bayer Leverkusen edged Olympiacos 2-0 on aggregate after a goalless draw.

Newcastle United also made it through to the Round of 16 as they defeated Azerbaijan giants Qarabag 3-2 and 9-3 on aggregate.
