Morocco continued their impressive run at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile after defeating the United States 3-1 in Sunday’s quarter-final and progressed to the semi-finals, Afrosport reports.
The Young Atlas Lions defeated South Korea in the round of 16 after finishing top of Group C ahead of Mexico, Spain and Brazil.
Yassir Zabiri opened the scoring against the Americans in the 31st minute for his fourth goal of the tournament before Cole Campbell levelled from the penalty spot in added time of the first half.
Joshua Wynder’s own goal in the 66th minute put Morocco 2-1 up while Gessime Yassine scored the final goal in the 87th minute to hand the North Africans the victory.

They will be looking to reach their first-ever final when they take on France in the semis on Wednesday.
