WAFU B U17 Girls’ Cup: Nigeria’s Flamingos beaten on penalties by Ghana in final

The Flamingos of Nigeria will be looking to secure their place in the final round of the 2025 FIFA Women’s Under-17 World Cup qualifiers when they host South Africa’s Bantwana at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Saturday.

Bankole Olowookere’s ladies already hold a solid advantage with a 3-1 win from the first leg in Polokwane courtesy of a brace from Harmony Chidi and a lone strike from Shakirat Moshood.

The winner of the two-legged encounter on aggregate will face either Algeria or Botswana in the final qualifying round.

Senegal’s Aida Sy has been appointed as the referee for the game with compatriots Ndeye Aissa Ndiaye, Ndeye Sarr Ndiaye, and Fatoumata Sall Toure serving as first assistant 1, second assistant and fourth official respectively.
