Tottenham agree £60m deal to sign Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest

Tottenham Houtspur have reportedly agreed a deal to sign midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest, Afrosport reports.

Spurs will pay the £60 million release clause in his current contract after reaching an agreement with Forest on Thursday.

The England International will undergo a medical later this week before signing a long-term contract with the North London outfit.

Gibbs-White moved to Forest from Wolverhampton Wanderers in a club-record £42m deal in August 2022, scoring 18 goals and providing 28 assists in 118 games for the Tricky Trees.

The 25-year-old helped Nuno Espirito Santo’s side to a seventh-placed finish in the Premier League last term, with seven goals and 10 assists in 34 games, as they sealed a return to Europe for the first time since 1996.

Tottenham, meanwhile, are set to begin life under new manager Thomas Frank after parting ways with Ange Postecoglou. They will be competing in the UEFA Champions League next season following their Europa League triumph.

Spurs on Wednesday reached an agreement to sign Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United and the imminent arrival of Gibbs-White will take their summer signing to five players—the loan deals of Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso have been made permanent, while Japanese defender Kota Takai joined from J-League side Kawasaki Frontale.
