Tokyo 2025: Amusan clinches silver in women’s 100m hurdles final at Worlds

Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan returned to the podium at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, after claiming silver in the women’s 100m hurdles final on Monday, Afrosport reports.

Amusan clocked 12.29 seconds to finish behind Switzerland’s Ditaji Kambundji, who stunned the rest of the field to claim gold in a National Record of 12.24s.

Kambundji, whose previous personal best was 12.40s, dipped at the finish line to become the joint-seventh fastest woman of all time in the event.

Meanwhile, American Grace Stark crossed the line in 12.44s to clinch bronze, while Olympic champion Masai Russell came fourth in 12.44s.

Poland’s Pia Skrzyszowska and Devynne Charlton both ran 12.49s, while twice world champion Danielle Williams finished seventh in 12.53s. Nadine Visser of the Netherlands ended in eighth in 12.56s
