On the basketball court, Nigeria’s girls’ 3×3 team also claimed silver after a close 12-11 loss to Rwanda in the final held at the Chappi Beach basketball venue. Earlier, they defeated Benin Republic in the semifinals.

Medals were presented by the President of the Nigerian Olympic Committee (NOC), Engr. Habu Gumel, who commended the athletes for their performance and team spirit.

Focus now shifts to athletics, which kicks off Friday, August 1. Leading the track team is Miracle Ezechukwu, the African U18 champion in the 100m and 200m, alongside other top prospects aiming for podium finishes.
