Benjamin Sesko came off the bench to score once again as Manchester United defeated Everton 1-0 at Hill Dickinson Stadium in Monday Premier League action, Afrosport reports.
The Reds Devils were in need of a response after playing out a 1-1 draw with West Ham United a fortnight ago.
Ivory Coast winger Amad Diallo and Portugal full-back Diogo Dalot had chances to find the back of the net in the first half but their efforts failed to go in while the Toffees had a chance before the break from a James Garner free-kick which was saved by United goalkeeper Senne Lammens.
Everton were close to taking the lead after the restart but Harrison Armstrong’s effort from 12 yards was saved by Lammens.
The Merseyside outfit continued to press for an opener but were finally undone in the 71st minute by a United counter attack move that involved Matheus Cunha and Cameroon foward Bryan Mbeumo, the latter feeding substitute Sesko to finish off in composed fashion.
It was the third goal for the Slovenian in his last four league games, all of which have come from the bench.

David Moyes’ men tried to find an equaliser late on but Lammens was once again alert to twart efforts from Michael Keane and Tyrique George.
The victory moved Michael Carrick’s side back up to fourth on the table and are three points clear of rivals Liverpool and Chelsea while Everton are ninth.
