Brazil will return to the Emirates Stadium for the first time in seven years for an international friendly against Senegal next month, Afrosport reports.
The 15 November clash will be their tenth appearance at the Emirates, as preparations continue ahead of next summer’s World Cup. They will also play Tunisia in Lille, France three days laters.
The five-time world champions last played at Arsenal’s North London home in 2018, when a Neymar strike sealed a 1-0 win over Uruguay.
Head coach Carlo Ancelotti will lead a strong Brazil squad expected to feature Arsenal duo Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Magalhaes, who are set to wear the famous yellow shirt at their home ground.
“For me, this match is extra special,” Martinelli said. “I’ve been with Arsenal for over six years now and have many beautiful memories of playing at Emirates Stadium.
“Now, with the Brazil team coming back and playing here, it will be a very special occasion.”
Brazil have won eight of their nine previous games at the Emirates, with their only defeat coming against Portugal in 2007.
Senegal, meanwhile, will provide a stern test for Brazil after impressing in World Cup qualifying and booking a place at next year’s tournament in style.
The Teranga Lions boast a wide array of top-class stars, including captain Kalidou Koulibaly, Sadio Mane, Pepe Matar Sarr, Ismaila Sarr and Nicola Jackson, among others.
