Czech Republic First League side Slavia Prague paid tribute to departing Super Eagles forward Peter Olayinka following his last appearance for the club.
Olayinka, who signed a three-year pre-contract agreement with Serbian club Red Star Belgrade in January, enjoyed a brilliant spell with Slavia Prague, the Czech Republic’s second-most successful club since its independence.
Since he joined the club five years ago in the 2018-19 season, he’s made over 180 appearances, won seven titles, scored 50 goals, and provided 26 assists, including the 17 goals and 8 assists he had this season.
Olayinka has enjoyed a brilliant career with Slavia Prague, and the club expressed their gratitude to him with a post on their official social media account, which read: “A unique player who deserves a farewell trophy just for him. OLAYINCUP”

The 27-year-old was handed the “OLAYINCUP” trophy by the chairman of the board of directors, Jaroslav Tvrdik, on Saturday at the Eden Arena, just before their 4-0 home win over FC Slovacko, a game he was captain for.
The trophy, which has a total of 83 parts divided into five segments for each year, depicts the Nigerian forward’s importance to the club over the years. The size of the each “discs” on the trophy depends on the competition in which he scored.
“I value this cup very much, I didn’t expect anything like this at all. It was a shock. I love it,” the Nigerian said.
“When I saw [the trophy] for the first time, I was moved. Hats off to whoever made it. It’s incredibly heavy, I’ll see how it fits on the plane. But I love every part of it,” he added.
Olayinka will join former European champions Red Star Belgrade on a free transfer on July 1, when the summer transfer window officially opens.
