Antoine Semenyo put in another impressive performance by scoring a goal and providing an assist in Bournemouth’s 2-1 Premier League win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon, Afrosport reports.
The 25-year-old Ghanaian has been a threat in the Cherries attack since the start of season when he netted a brace in the 4-2 defeat at Liverpool on the opening day and took it further against the Seagulls by setting up Alex Scott for the opening goal in the 18th minute.
Brighton levelled the game in the 48th minute when Gambia winger Yankuba Minteh assisted Kaoru Mitoma.
Bournemouth’s lead was however re-established with Semenyo netting from the penalty spot after Brazilian forward Evanilson was brought down in the box.
The result sent Andoni Iraola’s side temporarily joint top of the Premier League on nine points with Arsenal and Liverpool, who have a game in hand.
