Soufiane Rahimi scored once again but it did not put Morocco on the winning side as they lost 2-1 to Spain in the semi-finals of the Paris 2024 Olympics on Monday evening, Afrosport reports.
The Atlas Lions were 4-0 winners over the United States in the quarter-finals, a game in which Rahimi scored.
The Al Ain forward was at it once more as he opened the scoring against the Spaniards from the penalty spot in the 29th minute.
It took his tally in Paris to six goals.
Morocco held on to their narrow lead until the 66th minute when Barcelona youngster Fermin Lopez leveled for Spain, taking his tally to four goals in the competition.
The La Masia graduate went on to turn provider for Juanlu Sanchez to score the winner five minuses from time.

Spain have now reached back-to-back Olympic finals and will be hoping to win the gold medal in the final against either hosts France or Egypt who take on each other in the other semi-final.
Morocco meanwhile will have a shot at competing for the bronze medal in the third/fourth place match on Thursday.
