Super Falcons defender Michelle Alozie has joined Chicago Stars FC on a three-year deal from Houston Dash, Afrosport reports.
Her contract will run through the 2028 season at Northwestern Medicine Field in Evanston, Illinois.
General manager Richard Feuz expressed excitement about the $40,000 signing of the versatile 28-year-old defender, who made 75 appearances for Houston, scoring seven goals and providing two assists.
Alozie had a standout 2023, tying as the Dash’s leading goalscorer with four goals.
“Michelle’s proven ability at both ends of the pitch, experience, and leadership skills will be valuable assets for our team over the next few years,” Feuz said.
“We are excited to welcome her to Chicago as we continue to build for 2026.”

On the international stage, Alozie has earned 26 caps for Nigeria, scoring two goals, and was part of the squad that won the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations and represented Nigeria at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
