Arsenal midfielder Ethan Nwaneri has signed a new long-term contract, which will keep him at the club until 2030, Afrosport reports.
Nwaneri, who has been at Arsenal since the age of eight and rose through their Hale End Academy, enjoyed an impressive breakout campaign in 2024-25.
The 18-year-old scored nine goals in 37 appearances in all competitions last season, as the Gunners finished second in the Premier League and were eliminated in the Champions League semi-finals.
“It means everything to me, I’m so happy to have got it done. This is where I feel at home, and where I’m going to develop the best,” said Nwaneri, whose previous contract was due to expire in June 2026.
“I’m very excited. I see this as my first real season and part of a proper squad in the changing room. I’m so excited for what I can bring to the team and how I can help the team.
“I think I’ve actually become more direct over the past few years and I’ve added more goals, so I’m excited for what will come next.”

Nwaneri first caught the eye in September 2022, coming off the bench in a league game against Brentford to become the youngest player to ever appear in the Premier League at the age of 15 years and 181 days.
His was in fine form for England Under-21 team this summer, featuring in all six matches as they defended their European Championship title in Slovakia in June.
Nwaneri wore the number 53 shirt at Arsenal last season but will don the No. 22 ahead of the new campaign, which the Mikel Arteta’s men will kick off at Old Trafford against Manchester United on Sunday, 17 August.
