NPFL: Kwara Utd announce $35K kit deal with crypto gaming platform

Kwara Utd hit with ₦6 million fine by NPFL

Kwara United, reigning champions of the President Federation Cup, have announced a new $35,000 shirt sponsorship agreement with cryptocurrency gaming platform BC.GAME, Afrosport reports.

The one-year sponsorship was unveiled during the launch of the team’s new kits in Ilorin, capital of Kwara State. This comes as the club gears up for the 2025-26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) campaign and the CAF Confederation Cup.

Despite finishing 14th in the league last season with 50 points, they made history by clinching their first-ever President Federation Cup title. They triumphed over second-tier side Abakaliki FC in a dramatic 4-3 penalty shootout after a goalless draw in the final at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos.

The Harmony Boys will soon discover their opponents in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round, with the draw set to take place on Saturday in Tanzania.

Kwara United will represent Nigeria in CAF Interclub competition alongside NPFL champions Remo Stars, former champions Rivers United and Abia Warriors.

They will begin their 2025-26 campaign at home against Lagos-based Ikorodu City on Friday, 22 August.
