The organisers of the country’s second-tier football division, the Nigeria National League (NNL) have confirmed that the 2024-25 season will kick off on November 30, Afrosport reports.
It was revealed on Tuesday in Ikenne, Ogun State where the draws for the new season were conducted with all teams pooled in four different groups.
In the Southern Conference A, Sporting Lagos who got relegated from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) last season have been pooled alongside Solution FC, First Bank FC, Gateway United and Kun Khalifa FC.
Others in Conference A are Abakaliki FC, Madiba FC, ABS FC, newly-formed Godswill Akpabio FC, Osun United and Rovers FC.
In the Southern Conference B, Smart City FC, Edel FC, 1472 FC, defending Champions Beyond Limits Football Academy, Warri Wolves, Ijele FC and Inter Lagos will battle it out alongside Crown FC, Dakkada FC, Igbajo FC and Abia Comets.
Gombe United, Sokoto United, Zamfara United, Barau FC, Mighty Jets, Wikki Tourists and Milantarki Care FC will slug it out in the Northern Conference C.
The NNL draw has also pooled Doma United, Kebbi United, Basira FC, Adamawa United, Kada Warriors, Yobe Desert Stars and Sporting Supreme in Northern Conference D.
Organisers have also revealed that the season will kick off on November 30, the top two teams at the end of the season will qualify for the promotion playoff where four teams will gain promotion to the elite division.
