Kelechi Iheanacho registered his third competitive goal involvement in a row for Celtic after netting in the 1-1 draw with Red Star Belgrade in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday, Afrosport reports.
The 28-year-old Nigerian provided an assist in the 4-0 win away at Patrick Thistle in the Scottish Premiership at the weekend having opened his goal account in a 2-1 win at Kilmarnock the week before.
He opened the scoring for Brendan Rogers’ side against Red Star in the 55th minute off an assist from Benjamin Nygren.

Iheanacho’s effort however did to last as his compatriot Franklin Uchenna found former West Ham striker Marko Arnautovic to level for Red Star 10 minutes later.
Terem Moffi was the other Nigerian to score in Thursday’s Europa League action, netting the consolation goal from the penalty spot in the 77th minute of OGC Nice’s 2-1 home loss to AS Roma.
Philip Otele also scored an 84th minute consolation goal in Swiss giants FC Basel’s 2-1 defeat to German Bundesliga side Freiburg.
