Al-Hilal and Neymar have agreed to terminate the Brazilian forward’s contract by mutual consent, the Saudi Pro-League club announced late on Monday.
The 32-year-oldjoined Al-Hilal from French club Paris Saint-Germain in August 2023 but only played seven times for the Saudi champions after numerous injuries.
He has one goal and three assists for Al-Hilal and has only featured twice this season, most recently in a substitute appearance in November.

A statement from the Saudi club read: “The club expresses its thanks and appreciation to Neymar for what he has provided throughout his career at Al-Hilal, and wishes the player success in his career.”
Neymar, who remains the world’s most expensive footballer following his 2017 big-money move from Barcelona to PSG, is reportedly nearing a return to boyhood club Santos in Brazil.
The Brazil international spent 10 years at Santos, having graduated from the academy to the senior team. He scored 136 goals and provided 64 assists in 225 appearances for the Peixe from 2009-2013, winning six titles, including the Copa do Brasil and Copa Libertadores.
