Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry has unlocked another milestone by becoming the first player in NBA history to reach 4,000 career 3-pointers made, Afrosport reports.
The Warriors were at home against the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night, and Curry entered the game at Chase Center with 3,998 career 3-pointers made, needing only two 3s to achieve the milestone.
On the eve of his 37th birthday, the 11-time All-Star reached the mark after hitting a 3-point shot with 8:19 left in the third quarter, and as the shot fell, hearty cheers erupted inside the Warriors ground with home fans applauding their superstar.

He finished the game against the Kings with 11 points, five rebounds, and two assists, and went 4-of-9 from the field as Golden State claimed a 130-104 blowout win over their rivals.
Curry broke the 3-point record with 2,974 made 3s in December 2021 when he surpassed Ray Allen’s (2,973) previous record at Madison Square Garden.
He holds numerous 3-point records, including being the first player to make 3,000 threes, a milestone he reached two weeks after breaking Allen’s record.
The former No. 7 pick also holds the NBA record for most three-pointers made in a single season, with 402 in the 2015-16 season.
