San Antonio Spurs guard De’Aaron Fox will miss the rest of the season with a finger injury, Afrosport reports.
The Spurs revealed that Fox will undergo surgery on Tuesday, 18 March, to repair tendon damage in his left pinkie.
The 26-year-old reportedly sustained the injury last October during training camp with his former team, the Sacramento Kings.

San Antonio acquired one-time All-Star in a three-team trade on 3 February, and he has averaged 19.7 points, 6.8 assists, and 4.3 rebounds in 17 games for the five-time NBA champions.
The Spurs already have Victor Wembanyama and coach Gregg Popovich out for the rest of the season, and the decision for Fox to undergo the surgery is to hasten his recovery, as he is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for the start of next season.
Fox, in 62 games this season, averaged 23.5 points, 6.3 assists, and 4.8 rebounds in 34 minutes per contest.
San Antonio (27-37) is 12th in the Western Conference standings and is about six games behind 10th, the final position for a play-in berth.
