NBA confirms Grizzlies vs Magic regular season games in Berlin and London for 2026

The National Basketball Association (NBA) on Wednesday confirmed that the Memphis Grizzlies and Orlando Magic will play two regular season games in Europe next year as part of their audience expansion plans, Afrosport reports.

The Grizzlies and Magic will initially face off on Thursday, 15 January 2026 in Berlin, with the second game slated for London on Sunday, 18 January 2026. The league also revealed that regular season games will be played in Manchester and Paris in 2027, while for 2028, games will be played in Berlin and Paris.

The Berlin game will be held at Uber Arena; the O2 Arena will host the London game, while Co-op Live and Accor Arena will host the games in Manchester and Paris, respectively.

The NBA has yet to announce the dates and participating teams for the games in 2027 and 2028, but the league confirmed that both will be announced before the start of the 2026–27 and 2027–28 NBA seasons respectively.

Next year’s game in Berlin will mark the league’s first regular season game in Germany and the 14th game featuring an NBA team in the European country since 1984. Meanwhile, the game in London will be the 10th regular season contest in England’s capital and the 19th game involving an NBA team in the UK.

The 2027 game in Manchester will mark the second game featuring an NBA team in Manchester – the first since 2013 – and the league’s first regular season game in the city. The game in Paris in 2027 will mark the 16th game featuring an NBA team in France since 1991 and the league’s sixth regular season game in the French capital.

The Grizzlies, meanwhile, will be playing their fifth and sixth games in Europe. This will mark the franchise’s first games in Berlin and London, and is expected to feature two-time NBA All-Star Ja Morant, two-time NBA All-Star and 2022–23 Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year Jaren Jackson Jr., and two-time NBA champion Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

The Magic, on the other hand, will be playing its fourth and fifth games in Europe. It will be their first visit to Berlin for a regular season game and the third in London, having previously visited in 1993 and 2016. This will also be Orlando’s 14th and 15th games outside the United States and Canada, and could feature 2024 NBA All-Star Paolo Banchero, German brothers Franz and Moritz Wagner, and former Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane.
