Morocco full-back Achraf Hakimi is set to stand trial over charges of raping a young woman, Afrosport reports.
Back in February 2023, a then-aged 24-year-old woman told French police she had been raped by the Paris Saint-Germain player.
The woman claimed she met Hakimi online in January 2023 and went to his home where he allegedly kissed and touched her before raping her.
Hakimi has denied any wrongdoing and is ready to prove his innocence.
“Today, a rape accusation is enough to justify a trial, even though I contest it and everything proves that it is false,” he posted on X.
“I await this trial calmly, which will allow the truth to come out publicly.”

Hakimi has featured 19 times in all competitions for PSG this season, scoring three goals and providing as many assists.
He was also part of the Morocco team that reached the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations on home soil but lost to Senegal.
