Manchester City have reportedly reached an agreement with Lyon for the signing of French-Algerian star Rayan Cherki, Afrosport reports.
Cherki will reportedly sign a five-year deal with City in a deal worth around €41 million, including a €35m initial transfer fee.
The 21-year-old France international will undergo a medical on Tuesday, with Pep Guardiola’s side hoping to complete the signing and register him for the Club World Cup in the United States.

A Lyon Academy graduate, the 2024-25 season was Cherki’s most prolific campaign yet, scoring 12 goals and providing 20 assists in 44 matches across all competitions, including eight goals and 11 assists in 30 Ligue 1 matches.
He also impressed on his France national team debut, scoring and assisting as Les Bleus were beaten 5-4 by Spain in their UEFA Nations League semi-final encounter on 5 June.
City’s move for Cherki comes after they reached an agreement with AC Milan and Wolverhampton Wanderers for the signing of Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Ait Nouri, respectively.
The 10-time English champions will begin their Club World Cup campaign against Morocco’s Wydad AC on 18 June, before tackling Al-Ain on 22 June and Juventus on 26 June in their final Group G game.
