Lazio Coach Marco Baroni has demanded more from Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru after their 3-1 victory over Ajax in the Europa League on Thursday, Afrosport reports.
Dele-Bashiru was on the score sheet for the Italian side as he also aided his team in the middle of the park.
The Nigeria International has scored two goals and recorded two assist in the Europa league this season.
Baroni believes that if the Hatayspor loanee can beat his limits he can be one of the best midfielders in the world.
“Dele-Bashiru comes from a different football where he doesn’t need as much focus,” Baroni told Sky Sport Italia.
Despite the goal and decent performance Baroni wants more from the midfielder as he emphasises the need to apply more intelligence and technicality to his game.
“His physicality is devastating and he has good technique, but where he needs to improve and he is doing that is matching the speed of his brain to his legs. When he does that, he becomes really a remarkable midfielder,” he added.

The 23-year-old is having a good season as he has netted three times followed by three assists in 12 appearances this season.
The Biancolesti have a tough test as they host Inter Milan on Monday at Stadio Olimpico.
Baroni’s side are currently fifth on the Serie A standings with 31 points in 13 games this season.
