La Liga: Akor Adams credits teamwork for big Sevilla win over Barcelona

Glasner gives no excuse for the end of Crystal Palace’s unbeaten run

Akor Adams has credited teamwork for Sevilla’s massive 4-1 win over Barcelona at the Sanchez Ramon Pizjuan in La Liga on Sunday, Afrosport reports.

The Andalusian outfit were 2-0 up after 36 minutes through Alexis Sanchez and Isaac Romero before Marcus Rashford halved the deficit.

Sevilla were however able to extend their lead over the Catalan giants with Jose Angel Carmona netting the third goal in the 90th minute and Nigerian Adams with the fourth in the 96th minute off an assist from compatriot Chidera Ejuke.

It was back-to-back goals for Adams after netting his first-ever Sevilla goal in the 1-0 win away at Rayo Vallecano last time out.

“This gives the team a lot of credit for what they have achieved,” the former Montpellier player told the club website.

“The training work has been done and we have had the reward. You have to stay with the moment and stay positive with everything.”

Adams was called up to the Super Eagles squad for the very first time for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin.
