Juventus have appointed former Napoli and Italy boss Luciano Spalletti as their new head coach on a two-year deal running until 2026, Afrosport reports.
The 66-year-old replaces Igor Tudor, who was dismissed earlier this week after just seven months in charge. Tudor’s exit followed a 1-0 defeat to Lazio that left the Bianconeri languishing in eighth place in Serie A.
“We are delighted to welcome a coach with such expertise and experience to the Bianconeri family: welcome to Juventus and good luck, coach!” Juventus said in a statement.
Spalletti arrives with a wealth of top-flight experience and a proven track record in Italian football. He famously led Napoli to the Serie A title in 2023, ending the club’s 33-year wait for a league crown.
The veteran tactician also brings international experience, having most recently managed the Italian national team before his sacking in June.

Juventus have endured a difficult campaign marked by inconsistency and poor form. Before Wednesday’s 3-1 win over Udinese, the side had gone eight games without victory, losing three in succession and failing to score in four matches. That result, overseen by reserve coach Massimo Brambilla, lifted them into seventh place.
Spalletti becomes the club’s third full-time manager since Massimiliano Allegri’s dismissal in May and their fifth overall in that period. His managerial CV also includes spells with Empoli, Roma, Inter Milan, Zenit St Petersburg and Udinese.
His first task comes quickly — an away trip to Cremonese on Saturday, followed by a crucial Champions League clash with Sporting next week. The Turin derby against Torino on 8 November looms large as Spalletti looks to steady a club desperate to return to form and reclaim its place among Serie A’s elite.
