Igor Thiago scored a brace as the Brentford defeated Manchester United 3-1 at the Gtech Community Stadium in Saturday Premier League action, Afrosport reports.
The Brazilian forward already had two league goals in the season-opening 3-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest and the 2-1 loss at newly-promoted Sunderland.
He put things in motion against United with a powerful strike after eight minutes before doubling it 12 minutes later, becoming only the second player to net a brace in the opening 20 minutes against United after Alexis Sanchez did with Arsenal in October 2015.

United however pulled one back in the 26th minute when Slovenia striker Benjamin Sesko headed in a rebound for his first goal for the club since his €85 million summer move German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.
Red Devils captain Bruno Fernandes had the opportunity to equalise from the penalty spot in the 76th minute but his effort was saved by goalkeeper Coaimhin Kelleher.
Ruben Amorim’s side looked hard for the equaliser but it was Keith Andrews’ men that got the next goal in added time, courtesy of Mathias Jensen who struck the ball beyond Altay Bayindir.
The victory saw Brentford move above United to 12th on the Premier League table, level on seven points but with a more superior goal difference.
