Italian Serie A side Hellas Verona have signed Nigerian striker Gift Orban on loan from German outfit Hoffenheim, Afrosport reports.
According to Football Italia, the loan deal is worth €500,000, with the option to make it a permanent transfer at the end of the season for €8 million on a four-year contract.
Orban joined Hoffenheim from Lyon in January for €9 million and scored four goals in 13 competitive appearances.
He had a less-than-ideal stint at Lyon, scoring just five goals in 21 competitive games.
The 23-year-old Nigerian previously played for Stabaek and Gent in Norway and Belgium, respectively, scoring a combined 51 goals in 76 outings.
