F1: Dan Fallows steps down as Aston Martin technical director

Emotional Sinner wins year-ending ATP No.1 trophy

The Aston Martin Formula 1 team have announced that Dan Fallows will be stepping down from his role as technical director, Afrosport reports.

The Silverstone-based outfit on Tuesday confirmed Fallows will leave his current position from November but will remain with the group.

Fallows joined Aston Martin as technical director from Red Bull Racing in 2022 but will now have another top Red Bull official in Adrian Newey as the new technical director and will commence work next March.

“In my time at Aston Martin, it has been a joy and a privilege to guide the technical team on their journey towards being race and championship winners,” Fallows said in a statement.

“It is time for me to pass on the baton, but I look forward to watching the team’s future success, which I am sure will come soon.”

Owner Lawrence Stroll has ambitions to turn Aston Martin into race winners and championship contenders in the coming years.

They have however endured a difficult 2024 campaign and sit fifth in the constructors’ championship with 86 points.
