Former Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino has joined Qatar giants Al-Sadd on a two-year deal from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli, Afrosport reports.
The 33-year-old Brazilian spent two seasons with Al-Ahli after moving from Liverpool and helped them to the AFC Champions League title this year, scoring six times in 12 games and was named the best player of continental tournament.
Al-Ahli announced his departure on Wednesday, posting a video where he called the AFC Champions League triumph the best moment of his time with the club.
“I’m happy because we made history at the club during these two years together,” he said.
“The best moment was to become the champions of Asia. I’m very grateful for this.”
