Everton set to sign Grealish on loan from Manchester City

Everton are set to sign Jack Grealish on loan from Manchester City for the 2025-26 season, Afrosport reports.

The 29-year-old England winger was deemed surplus to requirements at the Etihad Stadium after an underwhelming 2024-25 campaign, during which he made just 20 appearances in the Premier League, starting in seven of them, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

He was subsequently left out of the squad that travelled to the United States for the FIFA Club World Cup.

Grealish was purchased from Aston Villa in 2021 for a fee in the region of £100 million, but has failed to live up to the price tag, scoring 17 goals and providing 23 assists in 157 games.

Nonetheless, he has won a total of seven titles in the blue half of Manchester, including the historic treble in 2022-23.

Grealish was also a target for Serie A champions Napoli but according to Sky Sports, has a preference to remain in the Premier League with the hope of making his way back into the England squad ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.
