Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface scored the winner from the penalty spot in stoppage time to help Bayer Leverkusen secure a 1-0 win over Qarabag in Azerbaijan.
The 22-year-old, who recently got called up to the Nigerian national team for their World Cup qualifiers, sent goalkeeper Andrey Lunyov the wrong way in the 94th minute to lead them to their fourth straight win and secure a berth in the knockout phase.

Boniface’s goal was his third in the Europa League and his 11th in all competitions, as the Nigerian continues to impress in his first season with Xabi Alonso’s side.
The win ensured that Die Werkself started a major European tournament with four consecutive wins for the first time in their history and they top Group H with 12 points, while Qarabag sit in second with six points.
