Middleweight champions Luke Michael claimed victory over challenger Siyakudumisa Nomvemve to retain his belt in the main event at EFC 125 on Thursday, Afrosport reports.
The two fighters locked horns inside the Hexagon at the World Sports Betting Arena in Johannesburg, South Africa, and champion Michael edged the five-round bout by unanimous decision.
In the co-main event of the 12-bout fight card, Hanru Botha saw off Ayande Zwane by unanimous decision after three rounds in their featherweight matchup.
Adama Diop dropped Christophe Walravens via TKO in the first round; Dante Mulenga defeated Kaleka Kabanda thanks to rear naked choke submission in the first round.
Meanwhile, Terrence Born got a knockout win over Tico van den Berg with a ferocious left in the first round to wrap up the main event.
