Bournemouth have wrapped up the signing of Serbian goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic from Chelsea in a deal worth £25 million, Afrosport reports.
Petrovic has penned a five-year contract with the Cherries until 2030, becoming their third signing of the summer after teenager Eli Junior Kroupi and French left-back Adrien Truffert joined the squad.
“I came to Bournemouth because I want to grow and I want to play at the best level,” he told the club website.
“Together with this club, with these facilities, I think we can achieve it. I want to help the team get the results, improve every day and be a better player.”

The 25-year-old shot-stopper originally made the switch to Chelsea from MLS side New England Revolution in August 2023 for around £14m. However, with limited chances at Stamford Bridge, he was sent out on loan to Strasbourg—Chelsea’s sister club—where he caught the eye.
The Serb was named Player of the Season at Strasbourg after guiding them to a solid seventh-place finish in Ligue 1 and booking a spot in next season’s UEFA Conference League.
Though he clocked 31 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea, it’s at Bournemouth that Petrovic is expected to truly plant his feet.
He’s tipped to become the Cherries’ first-choice goalkeeper as they aim to build on last season’s strong showing—a record-high 9th place in the Premier League.
