Mendy had also been found not guilty of a six-count charge of sexual-related offences against different women at an initial trial in January.
The 29-year-old last played in August 2021 and was released by Manchester City in June when his contract expired.
He joined the club as the Premier League’s most expensive defender when City paid £52 million to Monaco for him in 2017. The fullback won three titles under Pep Guardiola and was part of France’s World Cup-winning squad in 2018.
