Devin Booker became the Phoenix Suns’ all-time leading scorer in their 121-119 overtime loss to the Trail Blazers at Moda Center in Portland on Monday night, Afrosport reports.
Booker finished the game with 34 points, taking his career points total to 15,678 to overtake Walter Davis (15,666) as the Suns’ leading scorer.
The 28-year-old, who surpassed the franchise record on a 3-pointer with 7:34 remaining in the third quarter, was honoured with a loud ovation by fans inside Moda Center and was congratulated by family members.

The two-time Olympic gold medalist reached the milestone in his 10th season and played his 642nd game for the Suns.
“The city loves Devin,” Suns coach Mike Budenholzer said of Booker’s connection to the franchise and region.
Booker, who also holds the franchise record for most points scored in a game (70), shot 9-18 from the field and 13-for-14 from the free throw line against Portland to mark his third straight game with at least 30 points.
The four-time All-Star is currently averaging 26.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game this season. He has career averages of 24.4 ppg, 4.0 rpg, and 5.1 apg, shooting 46.4% from the field and 35.6% from beyond the arc.
Davis, meanwhile, played in 766 games for Phoenix from 1977 to 88. He was a six-time All-Star for the Suns and also played for the Denver Nuggets and Trail Blazers in his 15-year NBA career before passing away aged 69 in 2023.
