David Alaba has returned to the Real Madrid squad after experiencing a cruciate ligament tear in December 2023, Afrosport reports.
Alaba was out of action throughout the 2024 calendar year after sustaining a ligament tear during Real Madrid’s 4-1 victory over Villarreal in December 17, 2023.
The 32-year-old had two successful surgeries on his knee and rejoined team after was included in the squad for Thursday’s Supercopa de Espana semi-final against Mallorca in Jeddah.
The Austria international has been out or action for 380 days since his injury and his return is considered a major boost as Daniel Cavajaj and Eder Militao are still out injured.

Madrid would be looking to retain the Supercopa de Espana which they won for a 13th time last year by defeating fierce rivals Barcelona.
