The Nigeria Cricket Federation has unveiled a strong 14-man squad for the second edition of the Pearl of Africa T20 International series set to take place in Uganda from 17-27 July, Afrosport reports.
The team, led by captain Sylvester Okpe, has a mixture of experience and youth, as the duo of Davis Ankrah and Jimoh Abdulrahman have been handed their first national call-up.
Other notable names on the list include Sulaimon Runsewe, Selim Salau, Danladi Isaac, Akhere Isesele, Isaac Okpe, and Prosper Useni.
The Yellow Greens, coached by the experienced Steve Tikolo, will depart the shores of Nigeria for Uganda on Monday.
The Pearl of Africa T20 International series will see Nigeria battle four other nations: hosts Uganda, Kenya, the A team of Namibia, and the United Arab Emirates.
All teams will play each other in a double round-robin group stage format, and the Junior Yellow Greens will begin their campaign against Kenya on 17 July before taking on defending champions Uganda the following day.
