Brentford boss Keith Andrews signs long-term contract extension

Brentford boss Keith Andrews signed a contract extension that will keep him at the Gtech Community Stadium until 2032, Afrosport reports.

The 45-year-old was previously the Bees set piece coach under Thomas Frank but became the head coach last summer after Frank left for Tottenham Hotspur.

Andrews was initially given a three year contract until 2028 but it has now been extended by a further four years after an impressive season in which the London side currently sit in seventh place on the Premier League standings, five points away from an Europa League spot.

“Keith has done an outstanding job, the team are playing well and the things we thought we could be better at this season have all improved,” Brentford director of football Phil Giles said.

“He is a really good fit for the club and the way we like to work, as he is able to bring the best out of both players and staff alike.

“Everyone at Brentford will be pleased to hear that Keith will be with us for many years to come and I’m excited by what we can all achieve together in the coming seasons.”

Under Andrews, Brentford got to the EFL Cup quarter-finals and have reached the FA Cup fifth round where they will face London rivals West Ham United.
